seeing is the magic it takes to paint or draw

I have been looking at many art instructional sites and they all promote this method or that, and seem to overlook the fact that method is not a how we paint and draw, paintng and drawing is how we perceive and SEE.

YOU ALL remember Bob Ross, instructional painter and everyone who uses his method has the same look, the paintings all  look the same! 

So lets get to it and start to see,  think for a moment how a powerline looks as it passes in front of a dark tree or building and how it looks in front of the sky, do you "see" that the line is light in front of the darkness and  dark in front of the light sky! do you see this in branches of a tree as the background is changed? 

these clues of perception are natures aesthetics and to pass beyond the pure subject and onto reflected light and shadow, form and gesture. you now are truly engaging your own perceptions and your own art!
